ITG History

In 53 years of operation, Henneman Engineering has transformed from a small group of engineers to a firm with nearly 225 engineers and technical employees in eight cities across the nation. Projects range from engineering studies to $200 million building facilities. The mission of Henneman has remained the same:  to provide innovative, cost-effective and quality engineering solutions that are responsive to client’s needs in a professional and profitable manner.

Early in Henneman’s history, the firm developed many significant relationships that helped establish it as a leader in the areas of healthcare, higher education and government.  These key relationships were built on trust and longevity, paving the way for Henneman’s future growth.

In 1997, a new growth strategy was implemented with the formation of the Industrial Technology Group (ITG).  ITG started out with a group of 5 engineers and providing industrial design services for three major clients:  Caterpillar, Kraft and Bridgestone/Firestone.  Fifteen years later, ITG now employs 30 engineers and technicians with offices in Champaign, St. Louis, Madison and Milwaukee with revenues of approximately $4 Million.

ITG provides comprehensive engineering solutions and consulting services for more than 200 broad base of clients.  Over 85% of our clients are repeat customers. Client satisfaction is one of the most important aspects of our business and measure of success.

Industrial Technology Group has earned a reputation for innovation, performance and reliability. Whether developing new applications or adapting existing technology, ITG has the engineering know-how to get the job done on time and within budget. ITG expertise is not limited to the manufacturing process – it is focused on the total use of available resources, including energy conservation and generation.
